I have an early 1st gen L88 Camaro hood that looks to be the type used by
Motion in 1969 to early 70s It is a molded hood with hand laid fiberglass reinforcement on the underside the later ones had a large molded reinforcement panel on the underside like the one in the beginning of the post My hood looks to be similar to the construction on this Motion Corvette hood in last pic |

I picked up this hood today while out buying parts. It’s supposedly a Motion hood, looks to be a very early design. Can anyone confirm?

Moroso made some early hoods as well using a chopper gun. I believe mine to be one of them. Interesting to compare mine to yours. Motion L88 Hood Thread Last edited by cook_dw; 01-18-2023 at 02:48 PM. |

Its hard to ID the old fiberglass parts because there was a lot of people making them and they copied each other.
Sometimes you can find a number on them that can ID it. I have an old Camaro fiberglass trunk lid and it has the company business card glassed in. That would have been nice if they all did that. |

Harwood
This is a Stinger hood that was on my 4K car when I bought it. IMO its made by Harwood per seeing another hood here for sale some time back that still had a Harwood and a Moroso sticker on it.
Compare how the underside is made on mine and it’s just like some pictured here. My hood is real light, only a few pounds. I think it’s hard to say whether these hoods were on a Motion- Yenko or whatever because the makers sold them to anyone.
