Default '65 Corvette Convertible, #s 396-425hp

Silver on silver - doesn't get much better than that on a C2 - color combo reminds me of the 1959 Stingray Racer that's still owned by the GM Heritage Center.

The seller is claiming this one has its original engine, which is icing on the cake, if true.

This Corvette is stunning IMO! Seems a bit under priced or at least very fair if all is as presented??

May have missed it but where is he claiming that? What proof do we have it’s as it left the factory?

"1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sting-Ray Convertible. Matching Numbers."
Which seems to be interpreted in many different ways now...There is nothing stating "born with".

Oh ok. I don’t take “matching numbers” as original engine. I take that as we stamped the fire out of it.

No clue what that means either...
20+ years ago, matching numbers did mean original, but like everything else associated with "investment grade" vehicles, it was twisted to insinuate original.

Making more sense now. '65 L78 engines didn't have a great survival rate. Ad also states "front disc brakes and rear drum brakes"

Driving and storage have taken their toll on the "Full Restoration".

Still a stunning driver for the right price!
