Default '74 GTO - very nice restored 350/4-sp car

I don't see many of these restored - actually, I don't see many of these at all. Looks like a nice car and I'm glad it's not the hatchback model....

Reminds me of the time my BIL was getting married in Las Vegas and he forgot to get the marriage license, so we had to make a late night visit to the county facility where they are issued (they're open 24/7). His bride was born in Indonesia so that's what they put on the application. When they got the license back the clerk had put down "Indiana". They questioned it and the clerk just looked up with a very tired expression and told them "don't worry, it doesn't matter".

The original car has been relisted...but just came across another one in project form. Unfortunately, this one's an automatic....

Default 74 gto...

I have always liked these cars...guess it's the Nova connection and the hood scoop.

I have always thought these could be the ultimate hotrod with a nice 455HO or SD engine, M22 and a 12 bolt with some gears. Too bad Pontiac didn't build one like that...

I agree, I've always liked these. One of the few post 73 cars I dig.

They are great swap candidates. Gotta love Pontiac engines: all the engine blocks are the same and swap without any modifications. And an added bonus is the 74 GTO had a functional flapper door on the shaker, unlike the sealed off Trans Am shakers.

Didn’t they have the block off plate with the 2 rivets?

No, fully functional, similar to the early T/A's
