Barrett Jackson Description

This hot second generation 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Custom Coupe is a pro touring build with a modern LS6 V8 and 6-speed manual transmission. As the VIN number indicates this car was built in Van Nuys, CA with an 8-cylinder. From the information gathered it spent most of its life out west until it was acquired from Texas by its last owner Bryan Everett in 2013. It was the product of continuous restoration which was overseen by Vescio's Customizing located in Rogers, MN. It has roughly 2,000 miles since completion. The vision of the build was to modernize the car cosmetically and mechanically without comprising the original design. The exterior has beautiful body lines and is very straight. It was refinished in DuPont Boyd Coddington Red with Matte Gray accents that were laid down by Bo Vescio. The show quality paint was recently detailed to a gleaming finish. The iconic front split chrome bumpers, dual sport mirrors, front spoiler and rear spoiler enhance the appearance. It was outfitted with all new glass, stainless trim, front grille, door handles, tail lights, Z28 emblems and modern LED headlights. The car has an awesome stance on Billet Specialties SLC “GTO” wheels that are 18x9 on the front and 19x12 on the rear. The wheels are wrapped with brand new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires that are 255-35-18 on the front and 325-30-19 on the rear. A set of Detroit Speed Engineering mini tubs were added to accommodate the large rear wheels. The custom interior was professionally designed and installed by Premier Upholstery located in Rogers, MN. The cabin was first covered with FatMat sound deadener and a new Painless Performance 18-circuit wiring harness was installed. The interior was wrapped with stitched leather, suede and metal accents. The dash is home to the black dash bezel, Auto Meter Ultra Lite II gauges, custom switches and Kenwood stereo with Bluetooth. The audio is powered by Kenwood amplifiers with Polk speakers. It's equipped with a Billet Specialties 14” Formula steering wheel, Ring Brothers door sill plates, Bowler Billet shifter and Billet Specialties pedals. The bucket seats were custom made and the driver's seat track was extended for tall drivers. The rear seats were upholstered to match. The full length console was outfitted with the Vintage Air Conditioning controls, 2 power ports, front and rear stainless steel cup holders. Red LED accent lights were placed throughout the interior including the headliner, doors and console. The trunk compartment was boxed and carpeted. The engine compartment is nicely detailed throughout. Some of custom upgrades include black billet hood hinges, smoothed firewall, Detroit Speed wiper motor, Wilwood master cylinder, fender support braces, radiator support cover and Optima Red Top battery. The car is powered by a TSI built LS6 5.7L V8 that runs excellent. The car was dyno tested with 466hp at the rear tires which is documented with a dyno sheet that's included. The engine was setup with a Texas Speed Torquer 2 cam, Ported 243 heads, 92mm Fast Intake, Vintage Air front pulley system and custom valves covers that match the radiator support. The engine is cooled by a DeWitts aluminum radiator with dual SPAL electric fans. The engine breathes through Hooker Competition ceramic coated headers and 3” Magnaflow stainless exhaust system. The engine is coupled to a T56 6-speed manual transmission, 3” Denny's driveshaft and 12-bolt Eaton POSI rear end with 3.73 gears. The undercarriage is nicely detailed throughout and the floors were lizard skinned for durability. It's equipped with a DSE stainless fuel tank, subframe connectors and shock bar. It's also equipped with QA1 coil over shocks, lowering springs, Hotchkis sway bar and Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes with red calipers. This car has been completely serviced and detailed which is documented with an invoice that's included. This is the first time it's been marketed for sale. From the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection.

Awesome clean build, just not a fan of the stripe (color or shape) but not something hard for a new owner to change. GLWS
