I can only offer this incidental story that involved the Dealership.....Back in 1969, a customer ordered a new 69 Malibu 4 door hardtop (not a sedan) there. Red, BVT, black interior, 300hp 350 and a 4 speed. Car eventually arrived at the dealership and for reasons unknown, customer was unable to take delivery of the car. Dealership was stuck with a car that was comparatively undesirable for quite a while. It eventually got sold and turned into a drag race car by a guy in the Aurora IL area. Wound up with a tunnel ram and dual quads and many other modifications. Last I knew (and this was a LONG time ago) the owner moved up to Wisconsin and took the car with him.
