Default Project Matching Numbers'69 Z/28 Camaro

Numbers Matching Project 1969 Z/28 Camaro for sale - $45,000

I’ve had this car for 16 years and its current state is exactly how I bought it. It is documented with a copy of the Shipper and GMAC dealer finance paperwork. I believe the original documents exist and can provide the contact information for the person who made the copies from the originals. The car was sold new in California and was titled in Arizona at one time as an old AZ license plate is included.

The very bottom of the driver’s front fender has a small area of rust. The drivers quarter also has a small area of rust on the very bottom. There is some body filler on the passenger side quarter as well. There is no rust visible in any other areas except for surface rust. The rockers are rust free as is the rest of the body except for the areas noted. There are 2 interesting drilled holes in the trunk that must have been used to provide a safety restraint to a trunk passenger as one half of a seatbelt set is still mounted via one of the holes and the other seat belt is still in the trunk. Safety is of the utmost importance even when sneaking into the drive-in!

The complete drivetrain is numbers matching! The only engine component not numbers matching is the water pump. All other components are correct including casting dates and align with an 09C built body. A separate sheet of stamped numbers, casting numbers, and casting dates is attached.

The car has obviously been painted some time in its life as the stripes are missing. The car was originally Lemans Blue with black vinyl interior. The grille and front bumper is missing and I suspect that the car was involved in a front/passenger side collision. The front windshield is cracked. An aftermarket cowl hood is included in the sale

I welcome an onsite inspection and a lift is available. I have a clean Texas title in my name and the car is located in Pilot Point, TX.

Nice.

Interesting mod with the seat belt in the trunk. Easily fixed.

Original rust free quarters? If so, that is a HUGE plus.

Do you know if it was originally a ducted hood car? You can tell by the hole above the fuse block.
Wow. That may be the most visible readable partial vin above the starter on the block I have ever seen.

The quarters are original to the car but not totally rust free. I have added some photos of the rust in the drivers side fender and quarter and the excess bondo in the passenger side quarter. No rust or paint bubbles visible in the passenger side quarter, just excess bondo which may be from a skim coat. The trunk drop offs are in great shape.

Original flat hood car.

I thought the same about the vin stamp. It wasn't visible at all with the paint on. I removed the header and zbar and then sprayed some gasket remover and worked it with a wire brush. The remaining paint in the stamp made it pop.

That stamping looks great.
Looks like a good car for the right buyer.

I love it. Numbers matching, legit drivetrain car. I would rather buy a project like this that has nothing to hide, IMO.
