Default Engine decoding problem

Hi, help is needed.

I have two engines that are hard to decode, at least for me. The first one is a V0215CHZ that decodes as a 1975 165 hp 350 engine , but the 010 block has the small pad and was cast in 1997. So it doesn´t make sense.

The second one is a 10054727-block from CANADA that is stamped K0220TPM. I believe it is a 350 out of a van but I´m not sure. can´t find the TPM-code anywhere.

Both have original stampings.

Anders,

The CHZ decodes as 1977 350 170 HP 4BBL out of a Camaro.

I think you have a short Pad 1977 350 Block there.

Mid '70s-up blocks use the short, fat style pad..Is this what you have?

This is what it looks like Phil. I read it A-2-97, but I guess it should be read A-29-7.
By the way,I can´t find the partial VIN down by the oilfilter. Where should I look ?

Thanks !

Anders,

I suspect a missed VIN stamp at the factory on this one.
