Default Hurst 3138 Comp Plus Shifter w/ 5325 Round Bar Handle

Looking for a complete 3138 shifter with round bar handle in excellent to restored condition.

Found a shifter. Eric is going to complete a nice assembly for me.

Thanks sYc

I don't know what set he had on Facebook but I'm not impressed with what he sold me for a considerable amount of money! I have bought way better shifters than this for a lot less money elsewhere in recent years. I've also sold way better quality shifters than the one he just sold me. When asked what he was going to put together, I also asked if all hardware was original with correct factory head markings.

You folks can be the judge, but does this look to you like a professionally restored Shifter and Rods? Inconsistent finishing on the rods and the tabs, and the shifter mount and main body look to have been heavily rusted prior to being plated as they are both heavily pitted. I am really not impressed with Eric (Crash) Davidson's offerings at all...and would like to know what others have experienced with his shifters or transmissions being sold here.

I did send an email asking him to explain and to this date that has gone unanswered! I would not buy from him again and I would not recommend buying anything restored from this individual unless you see it before you buy it. Here's what he sold me for $1100.00 and didn't even ship it. Instead he dropped it off at Midwest Muncie and they then had to box it up and ship it to me. That was a real $hitty move if you ask me?

I would have been unhappy with the surface finish at the very least. Did he provide pictures?

No he did not. He wanted payment upfront and assured me everything was all nice original stuff and would be fully rebuilt. I told him for $1100 I was expecting a concourse grade shifter. What I got was far from what was described or expected. I sent him an email with pictures 10 days ago...and not a peep.

I know he has done some DIY videos here, but people need to know that his workmanship is sub-par when it comes to rebuilt shifters. That's about all I can say here.

Send it to mike gibbons (new owner of brake boosters) he could probably swap the shifter cover and get you a nice clean bracket. He supplied me with a bracket that was missing a welded boss and swapped it out no questions asked months later when I noticed it.

My experience with Eric has been ok response wise. I bought the tools he put together. He left one of them out. Apologized and sent the missing one out right away...never bought and shifter from him...

Mike is doing my booster and master right now.

As for the shifter body...it's pitted all the way around so it's not just the one side. None of the stampings are very clear and you can barely read the 3138 on the front side. Thee back side is just as poor so a new body and a new mounting plate is what's actually required. I may still have a couple bodies kicking around here that are clean. I think I will have one replated and swap it over while I pick up andother mounting bracket since this junk will not be going onto my car.
