This awesome restored 1979 Ford Bronco 4x4 Custom is a blast to drive and admired by many. It’s equipped with Vintage AC and is powered by a rebuilt 351 V8 with 4-speed manual transmission. The second generation Ford Bronco was only produced two years including 1978 and 1979. It was advertised as a full size 3-door SUV with lift-off rear hardtop. As the Deluxe Mart Report that’s included documents this example was retailed by Gilmore Ford located in Prattville, AL. It was built in Michigan with the following options: Candyapple Red exterior, White fiberglass roof, Black/Silver Custom Vinyl bucket seat interior, custom package, bright low mount western mirrors, front and rear chrome bumpers, L78x15 black sidewall tires, air conditioning, 351 V8 engine, Borg Warner 4-speed manual transmission and 3.50 conventional rear end. From the information gathered it spent its entire life down south and was rust free. It was the product of a complete restoration that was completed in 2023. The body is very straight with very good panel fitment throughout. It was refinished in a gorgeous shade of Red with Free- Wheeling Graphics. The paint is show quality and was recently detailed to brilliant shine. The removable hardtop was refinished in black the glass was tinted. Everything on the exterior was restored or replaced. Some of the exterior features include black low-mounted mirrors, black front grille with aluminum trim, head lights, parking lights, black front bumper, fender trim, rear tail lights and black rear bumper. It’s equipped with a swing-out tire carrier with Ford Bronco tire cover. It was outfitted with a 3” Rough Country lift kit that provides the perfect height for the new 17” alloy wheels and new Axiom Tread Wright All Terrain 35x12.50 tires. The front wheels have new Warn hubs. The interior was reupholstered in black vinyl with patterned cloth on the door panels, bucket seats and rear quarter panels. Everything in the interior was restored or replaced. Some of the interior features include an custom ceiling mounted headliner with Boss stereo and Highline speakers, Bosh gauges, Grant 3-spoke black steering wheel with Ford logo, Vintage Air Conditioning control panel, seat belts, center console with cup holders and storage compartment. The spacious rear cargo area has new carpet and a power-operated rear window. The engine compartment is nicely detailed throughout with many new parts. The backside of the hood, firewall, inner fenders and radiator support was painted red. It’s equipped with a new American Autowire wiring harness from front to back. The heart of this beast is a 351 V8 that was completely rebuilt including an Elgin camshaft. The engine was dressed with an aluminum intake, Ford Motorsport black finned valve covers and black air cleaner with 4” K&N filter. Some other upgrades include a Quick Fuel 600 cfm carburetor with electric choke and Pertronix electronic ignition system. The engine is cooled by an aluminum radiator. The engine breathes through factory manifolds and exhaust system with a Flow Master muffler. The engine is coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission. The power is transferred through a new Eaton Tru-Trac rear end with Richmond 3.50 gears and dual-range transfer case. The undercarriage is also nicely detailed throughout with many new parts. The frame was refinished in black and the underside of the body was refinished in red. Everything underneath was restored or replaced such as the fuel system, power steering system, suspension and power braking system.
