Default 1969 L35 X66 Conv cortez over blk dlx

This car is owned by a fellow board member and if I am not mistaken was for sale on here 18+/- months ago.
It sat in Floyd Garretts muscle car museum if I have the story correct.
The car upon evaluation had some issues which, given the overall unmolested nature of the car, deserved to be corrected.
It is a 12C X66 conv L35 M40 Dlx interior, Cortez over Blk blk roof.
The quarters were hung in the 80's and were not what is expected today (overlapped with poprivets and spotwelds). I cut the overlapped quarters then buttwelded everything back into place, reconstructed a butchered door jamb and painted the car.
I just painted the car back to the original cortez silver, cleaned the original interior, degreased-evaporusted, and relubricated all the door latches and window tracks.

After hardblocking it with 2000 and polishing it will be like a mirror... tomorrow!

Every paint color was matched, sprayed & checked, then corrected if required, to the original including the engine.
BTW Dupont Nason Grey epoxy sealer is a near perfect match for the original med dark Grey used on the bodies before paint.

A few hours of hard blocking with water and gentle soap I use a piece of 1" PVC pipe 10 inches long that was heated and flattened on a sheet of pyurex glass in the oven giving approx 1" ultra flat surface with a slight roll on either edge I make sure to hold the paper tight so it only cuts highs.
