Default Dixson (Dixco) Early Temp Gauge Sender ?'s

I have an early Dixson electric temp gauge that I've been trying to find the correct sender for ...without much luck. It's reads from 100-250 F with a sender range of about 10-180 ohms. I thought I found a VDO sender that would work, but once I bought it and had it shipped, the range is listed as 22-700 ohms on the instructions. Is anyone familiar with what sender ranges are available? I've contacted a few gauge places and even Dixson, but haven't found any good info. The gauge does have an adjustment on the back that will allow for tuning for a higher or lower ohm range, but it has to be the same resistance rate. Any info anyone can give will be appreciated.

Thanks, Paul
