The original born with engine, trans and K-frame have been redone and detailed by Frank Badalson.

It has a vintage “Day 2” paint job. The original owner painted it to match his boat.

Actually Miss Direct Connection still looks like that! I believe her name was Annette. There were some recent photos here somewhere of her. It was at Indy that year if I recall correctly. Here's a couple shots on the track:
