Rick, i applaud your efforts. I too am a Sunoco nut! I can remember filling up at the "wishing well" outside of Pentwater MI during my childhood trips there.
I have gathered as much as I can. I have NOS blend pump bathroom keys (men and womens), credit cards (70 and 73) receipts, credit card holders, handy oilers with blend pumps, the promo radio, a "sunoco air" sign, oil bottle etc. and of course my pump. Funny thing is, I don;t have a good shot of it. It was restored by a guy who bought 100 of them and does about one every 6 months with the best original parts from his stash. I hope one day to here your pump ding......I wish mine did (its gutless) Very very cool and well done on your part!! John here are the only shots i can find [image] ![]() [image] ![]() [image] ![]() |

Sorry I forgot to answer what I found earlier.
That picture I posted shows an air hose,so this 39 year old unrestored Eco wall mount airmeter I found in a bulk plant is what I was referencing.. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

As far as Chicago is concerned, does anybody know when we lost Sunoco as a gas brand? I saw this sign in the middle of what was an old neighborhood gas station on the 2700 block of south Lawndale in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood. The place is not a gas station anymore but the sign still looks pretty good. Just be careful if you go and look at it as the neighborhood is not that great.
