I agree Kim! Hey, at least at this years reunion I'll have an idea of who you are

Are we doing the name tag thing again? (For the new guys)...or do we designate an "old-timer" (read D. Cumby) to introduce everyone to everyone else?

Hey DC, let me know if you ordered "it" yet!

Jim Hayter broke the world record at 9.63 at amost 143 and also won the World Championship at the race in Fremont,Cal.

The way BP restored the car, with the gold leaf and all, looks killer, but IMO, this is how the car should look today, as it did when it was crowned WORLD CHAMPION. No doubt Hayter must have been some tuner/driver.

Who's Barney?? Must be kid thing!!! As Dennis says I HAVE T-SHIRTS OLDER THAN YOU.

Underwear too, but neither fit anymore.

To those who may wonder what the "ten seconds to heaven" meant on the back of Bill's silver deuce. The car was painted pearl white, and had the wheel wells opened way up in 1974. That's when it became the ten seconds to heaven race car, running in the NJ area. It stayed that way until now when it was put back to pretty much stocker form. Since it spent most of it's time as a race car, I couldn't help but put that reminder of it's heritage on the tailpan. Maybe Bill can post some pics on another thread of how it looked when he aquired it.

Ken...you did an awesome job on Bill's Deuce

I'll get to see it in a few weeks (I think)in Collinsville.

Then it'll come back to AZ and hopefully I'll be able to see it (and maybe get a ride in it) at Pavillions. Though Bill and I can never seem to be at the same place at the same time except in Collinsville

Dave, Your '67 L78 is awesome!! I can't wait to see more pics and see the car in person. It is definately the best that I've seen. I'm really glad that it went to a good owner.
