It's a very rare 1967 GTA 289 HiPo Mustang Fastback with the Competition Handling Package which included the 15" Galaxie wheel covers as Ford did not have a 15" "road wheel" back in 1967. This was a very expensive car back in 1967. Base price was $2,592.17. Then you add $205.05 for the GT option, $433.55 for the 289 HiPo engine, $220.17 for the auto trans, $388.53 for the Competition Handling Package, Power front disc brakes: $64.77, Power steering: $84.47 and $57.51 for an AM radio. That totals $4,046.22 |

Any time of the year the Beatnik Bandit can be found on permanent exhibit at the National Automobile Museum in Reno, Nevada, but on July 21. 2019 the pearl white, bubble-topped beauty will mingle with the crème de la crème of automobiles at the 64th annual Hillsborough Concours d’ Elegance in Burlingame, California. |
