Yeah Bill, that car is nice. This was a while back, long before the generous glass offer that you put up. Maybe this weekend?

Bill, You are correct...I'm right here in Seattle. I've been keeping in touch with my Springfield friends, Dennis Thomas and Don Stowers via cell phone. As well I spoke to Jeff Betz Tuesday on his cell phone. Evidently he "blew up" his alternator and whatever Billet Specialties provides with there serpentine belt set-up is not easily replaced. Anyway Jeff said he detoured through Chicago, visited Billet Spec and got a replacement.
Pics below show Stowers GTO, Mike Steitz's survivor 70 SS, and Dennis Thomas(one of the best)71 Z-28....and Jeff's Chevelle..........

So True! We had a perfect day. Always a treat to spend time with Ken and Paulette. I owe you big time my friend.

We got a ton of pictures as well, and I had planned to get home at a decent hour and try my hand at posting a few 'select shots'. But, as usual, my mouth took over and we didn't get home until almost 10 PM. I'll work on it tonight (since they kinda frown on the extended time I spend on-line here at work ).

A huge Thank You to Ken and Paulette for their generosity and tolerance yesterday. And, after a number of phone calls and inquiries, we eventually hooked up with Charley and the 'Witch'. Sounds like things are coming together with the car and it's definitely a piece of work. (The car; not Charley! ) Good to see you again Mr. Lillard.

Hard as we tried, we NEVER did see the elusive Team Ashton. We finally found the car and left our cards, but Bob was nowhere to be found. Truly sorry we missed you Bob. Our loss.

Got to put a few more names and faces together and, like I said earlier, had a perfect day. For any of you in the Evansville, Memphis and Little Rock areas, I HIGHLY recommend making every effort to stop in and see the show when they hit town. Some cool cars, and some very good people.

Can't say for sure about the Little Rock venue but when they were in Springfield the admission was free for spectators. There was a $20 charge if you wanted to bring your car in and be a part of the show (which we elected to do).

The times they gave us were Noon to 8 PM and the long haulers arrived throughout that time period. Being the final day, I would expect a big turnout, and a party atmosphere............... although some of the folks will undoubtably be plum wore-out!

Check your local radio stations. They advertised it heavily here.
