I think I saw this one on the Bloomington Gold judging field.

That's a John Silva C2 hood... one of several different styles that he did.

I will say it looks much better in real life then it does in the catalog

It looks like Torque thrusts were "in".

Torque Thrusts have always been, and will always be, very IN. WAY, WAY IN!

Yep, these pictures are very cool. Two thumbs WAY UP.

Very cool.. I love looking at the pics from back then... Everytime I do.. sit and look through a cool old 70s Magazine or something.. I always wonder what these cars look like TODAY... where are they? So much time and care went into them and they were beautiful and shown and displayed.. but what happened to them all? Where they at now? Anyone know what I mean?

Man Ed I was thinking the same thing when I saw some of the paint jobs on those cars!

Yep. I think about that frequently as well. Unfortunately, people are reverting some of those cars back to stock. Some places you get made fun of for having a car that looks like that today... even when it's an old custom.

I remember seeing a Fathom Green Chevelle (68 or 69) with wild lace paint on it at the Elmhurst cruise night a year or 2 back. I believe it was the original paint job from back in the day. It definitely stood out. That kind of paint is icing on the "Day 2" cake.

This one brings back memories. The Buick was originally owned by John Stillwell of Stillwell Buick in Downers Grove. My high school friend bought it around 1970 and drove it for a few years. It was painted black when he sold it.
