Could you explain what heavy tech is vs "normal" tech? Thanks Verne </div></div> Everyone goes through the visual inspection. Correct heads, intake, exhaust, carb, and the other visual stuff. Heavy tech is when you do 'better than expected'. They pump you for cubes, whistle you for compression, and pull a valve cover for lift. Also check other items. Tim passed with flying colors. </div></div> Thanks Rusty. IF I ever get my '09 put together, that race is on my bucket list. I sure won't be moved to Heavy Tech though. Verne |

I read the rules and didn't see anything about disqualification for running faster than 11.50.
Why would the L-88 Corvette's be disqualified?

NHRA doesn't allow anyone to run quicker than 11.50 without a roll bar. That is the rule that put four Chevrolets out this year. Race a Mopar or Ford product and you won't have to worry about breaking out at the PMSCDR race.

Chevy guy here! Good one John!
PS: Thursday one of Rick M's uber cool Mopars went to fast but it was not part of PSMCDR so he didn't get the boots. (I think it was his 64 race Hemi) Later in the day both Orange L88 Vettes got rowdy side by side 11.2, and 11.3. Again not booted out till they went to fast in the race. Talked to Scott T. After he uncapped the race Hemi exhaust and took a pass.....scary tires broke loose at half track. Every butt puckered in the stands and cool as a cucumber Tim put her straight and carried on:-)

Did they change the threshold? I thought it was 11.00.
