I knew the Service Manager at Pape. He had a 1968 L78 Chevelle convertible 4 speed that he ordered new from there. They were into the performance cars back in the day.

Document Validation Service is up and running for Corvettes. It included window stickers, build sheets including tank stickers, shipper copies. Warranty Plates are not able to be validated.

Document Validation Service will verify paperwork and tie it to a specific car. If someone sends in a tank sticker and the VIN of their car it will validate that that document belongs to that VIN and it will validate the authenticity of the document. Remember, many build sheets have no VIN on them. We can tie a VIN to a readable document. Window stickers and shipper copies have VIN's on them, so the Document Validation Service will validate the paperwork.
For the owner of a rare Corvette that has a build sheet/tank sticker with no VIN, it is very helpful to confirm that that paperwork is tied to that vehicle. It will not call out options on the car. The NCRS Origin report tells you where the car was delivered and the dates involved. |

Anyone ever consider asking the NCRS to do a free (or reduced cost) check of where the unknown Yenko cars came from (for the Yenko registry)? I was checking the VIN lists, and had the thought, maybe the lists could be updated with the dealer info now through help from the NCRS.

I suppose 201 could have been Harry May Chevrolet? I'll keep looking.... |

Yes, alphabetical and would be by the last name if that was in their name. So with Harry May, it would be sorted by May.
