Snyder currently owns this car and brought it to MCACN in '23.
Love this car it’s spectacular BUT I’d prefer it with cragars or rockets, raidir polished , something w some flash Vs dark but knowing it’s owner is young they tend to like the dark color wheels so I get it.

#223 This Fathom Green 69 Camaro COPO is N663162 and was sold new at Malcolm Konner Chevrolet in Paramus NJ. This car still has its original drivetrain and is CHP Certified. This car has 21K miles and is unrestored with an older repaint. Most COPO Camaros built in '69 were ordered without consoles, but I noticed all three that I saw at Mecum Indy this year had them. This car hammered for $210K.

Here is picture of N693711 from Mecum Indy. I posted pictures of this car back in '19 when it was at MCACN and won a Day 2 Concours Gold award. It has since been returned to mostly stock except for the headers and plug wires. This car was sold new at Hough White Chevrolet in Columbus OH to David Waller. This is an unrestored car with only 8.6K miles. It does appear that the hood has been repainted. This car has its original transmission and rearend. This car just sold at Mecum Houston for $135K. It was bid to $120K at Indy but didn't sell.

Yes I had the hood painted when I acquired the car from Nuge. I just couldn't stomach the black stripe the original owner had painted on by the dealership, I might have left it if it had been straight. You are correct the rear and trans is the born with but also everything on the engine except the warranty replacement CE short block is original. Heads, intake, carb distributor, alternator, kick down, and even the anti dieseling switch is still in place.

Here is a picture of N613366 from Mecum Indy. I posted pictures of this car previously from Mecum Indy in 2010. This is a double COPO that was sold at Berger Chevrolet in Grand Rapids MI. This is 1 of only 2 triple green COPO's that I know of. The other is an Emmert sold car that is a non RS with a 4 speed. I believe this car was restored by Nyle Wing at Wing's Auto Art. It was in the Brothers Collection and was one of the Muscle Car of the Week features done by Kevin Oeste. This car sold at Mecum Dallas in '23 for $155K, then at Mecum Kissimmee in '24 for $200K and now it hammered at Mecum Indy for $165K. Hopefully it will find a permanent home.

Those selling prices in a short period of time are kind of wild? As a novice is that common?

Proof that an inside out, upside down cowl seal is worth a good 35K.

It's not uncommon to see a car that sold at one of Mecum's lesser auctions show up months later at Kissimmee or Indianapolis and sell for more so the difference from Dallas to Kissimmee isn't surprising. The fact that it sold for $35K less at Indy is a bit surprising. It's possible that the deal at Kissimmee fell through so it was brought to Indy.

If you had told the assembly line workers in 1968/1969 that some of the cars they were building would be worth six figures in one day, what do you think they would have said?
