Sorry to report but due to some delivery issues with one of my subs, the LS-6 rolling drivetrain will NOT be displayed at VF. Thanks Tom for allowing me the opportunity to partake in the club display. Another two weeks and I would have been there.

Tom,
I'm assuming this is sometime on Friday. Do you know when?
I was referring to this if you didn't know: The folks at Vettefest have extended a personal invitation to members of the sYc who would like to arrive early and take part in some live remotes by both NBC and Fox TV.

If interested, give me a shout and I will fill you in.

Yes, Friday. Arrive between 4-4:30 AM, with TV crews starting to film at about 5:00AM.

What they did two years ago, was every so often the local TV network would do a live remote from Vettefest, each time focusing on a particular car/owner.

Same problem here. If it were two weeks later, as in the past, I would be there too.

Maybe next year! Hope everyone has a great time. Please keep us up to date with pictures.

Thanks Darren, unfortunately I need to get the rolling drivetrain done so as to be able to mate the completed body back on which will be done shortly for a magazine deadline. That and the fact that I REALLY want to go deer hunting (have not missed one in 18 years) means I need to pass. If I had it done, VF would take priority this year!

Got a call from Wayne Bushy, who is putting the finishing touches on John Oehler's 1968 Red Gibb Nova. Plans are to drop by the Gibb dealership in LaHarpe for a photo shoot, then on the Vettefest to join the sYc display with other Gibb cars.

Four Gibb Novas in the same location! Annie's Grecian Green, Helen's and Tommy's Fathom Blues and John's Matador Red!
Now where's that Turquoise car?

GEEZ...FOUR Gibb Nova's...THREE Z-16s, I lost count of how many COPOs and Yenko's! This is going to be one awesome showcase!

THANKS TO ALL who are participating. For those who aren't able to SHOW your cars, do your best to come and check them out along with all the other cool stuff that will be there!

Spread the word and while we're at it, let me throw in some FREE 50th Anniversary Corvette Posters (nice ones, not the typical cheesy auto show giveaway kind)to the first 500 spectators through the door on Saturday Morning! These posters are Limited Editions that sold for $20 each. Compliments of Championship Auto Shows, Inc.
