Brock Yates also pissed-off Alan DeCadanet when that silver B-J Lotus Elise was on the block. Yates was hacking on the Elise and said, "There's an old saying: Give a British guy a piece of metal and he'll do something stupid with it." Alan sounded offended and replied, "Brock, I've never heard that saying and I think you just made that up." That was about the most exciting dialogue of the whole day.

They were pointing out some touch up issues on that maroon Vette...maybe we couldn't see it's real condition..and those Elises are probably a ball to drive...I think they weigh 5 or 6 pounds.

Bob, do you think George bought the vette back himself?? I was under the impression that he wanted 400k for that car. I must be missing something. I think with all the crazy prices that 210 was a deal for the vette. Im surprised he let it go for that.

And if an owner buys his car back does he still owe B-J the 8% fee?

Yes, the three idiots said that the seller would still have to pay the listing fee and the 8% if they bought their own car back.

the big guy standing behind the car was going against ferrari dude....did you not see him go get in his face about the car at 2 mill.....

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I saw the "in the face" at $2 mil, but then Ferrari dude sat in the car and the auctioneer just kept yelling higher numbers, and Ferrari Dude would nod his head. After $2 mil I didnt see anyone else bidding against him. And then that idiot TV wanker starts trying to interview him in mid auction, with intelligent banter like "So I'm a Scorpio, you come here often?"

The Motion Vette did indeed sell,& is real money bid by another. This from a Friend of mine down there. He said it's going to stay west now.
I believe I heard 8% of the final bid price is paid by the buyer & seller each.As stated on Thursday.
So 16% extra is paid on the final bid, that B/J collects.
Isn't Tony, the one who owns/owned the Motion Corvette,& George is his good close friend?
