I met a gentlemen about a year ago in Algonac Mi that supposedly has the very first Yenko Camaro ever built. He told me it was the car that traveled the U.S. visiting Chevrolet dealerships representing the Yenko Camaro. Im not real familiar with the history of the Camaro so I couldn't say either way. He also had 2 69 chevelles sitting next to it that he claimed where yenko chevelles. All three cars where sitting there with no front clips and no motor or trans. He had 2 barns absolutely full of Camaros and 69/70 chevelles. These yenkos( supposedly) where all in the attic of one of his barns the lower part of the same barn was littered with big block chevys on stands. The walls where also littered with N.O.S sheet metal all with G.M labels. almost like a gold mine, seemed like a good guy.

I wonder when the earliest a 9737 could have been built.

Does somebody have a picture of this rare decklid/spoiler combination? I don't recall seeing that before.

I had the decklid on display at the Don Yenko Memorial at MCACN in November 2012. I am sure I could get more pictures of it if nobody else has any...BKH

----Mike,,,I know the fella you are referring to. I have seen the bodies you refer to but, like you, have no idea weather they are what he says they are. He calls them his retirement account, and if true they sure would be! He restores his own stuff, and does a fair job of it too. I have tried to get him to participate on the sight but I dont know if hes even lurked. You are correct about him being a nice guy......Bill S

Camarojoe - those are nice Atlas center caps

the fiberglass rear deck lid and spoiler was also listed as an option for
the 1967 Yenko Super Camaro and Yenko had fiberglass deck lids and other parts made for the Stinger program

I have a set of prototype 1967 Camaro fiberglass side pipe covers Yenko had made but didn't go into production

Joe, here is an old post on them from a few years ago

I think Don was trying to do a lower cost version of the 67 Corvette metal side pipe covers but the fiberglass is too thin. They are cracking around the screw holes. They have blue paint on them and look like they were installed on a car at some time.
