Moving the wheelwell opening forward for slick clearance was pretty common on 69 camaros. They'd either cut it off, or move the wheel flare forward and tin, or mud the gap. If they were serious about racin, that front edge left.

Jim says the car was raced by only one driver and was always raced with a big block.

I'd be putting the stickers and lettering back on.. There are lots of fathom green 69 yenko camaros out there... but there would only be one "Gambler". Very cool original photos. ![]() [/ QUOTE ]I second that. Only 1 Gambler! ![]() ![]() |

So the gambler car may have been an Atlas wheel car?

So the gambler car may have been an Atlas wheel car? [/ QUOTE ]The wheels in the vintage pics look like round spoke Americans to me. True Yenko "Atlas" wheels from the Atlasburg Foundry were patterned after the peaked spoke version of the American Torq Thrust. Take a look at the 7-69 SSDI road test, the gold demo car wore legit Atlas Alloys and the peaked face of the spokes are very apparent in the pics. |

Yea, I know the differences but I never assumed that every mag wheeled optioned Yenko had the Atlas version installed. I would not put it past Yenko to install a round spoke version, ET version, etc... Either way, very cool pics
