Last one. A little blurry of the wing itself, but perhaps still useful.

Jeff,

Great images! I thought the wing was partially cast.
Have to rethink that thought process - huh? How heavy????
Looks like a sheet metal wonder from your shots. Which
DH car were these taken from? Where was that show?

John's original Glacier Blue w/black wing scheme looks
great! However, this chrome plate wing really gets
your attention, doesn't it? Lastly, the chrome plating on
the DH emblems throws me for a loop. I thought they were
brushed aluminum, not chrome plated. What a great topic
this has turned out to be.

Are any of these DH cars going to be at the reunion?

Steve

From what I am hearing there will be several DH cars at SCR8. 8-10, maybe more. Very well could be the largest gathering of DH cars ever.

And rumor has it, several will be racing on Friday.

Who restored the Green DH Camaro in Jeff's postings?
I'd like to know more about those DH chrome plated emblems.

Hey Brian,

Can you elaborate on the use of the chrome plated DH
emblems on the Fathom Green Camaro with the chromed wing?
The other DH emblems I've seen as well as the one I own
are brushed aluminum. What's the story here? Were these
originally chromed? I'm confused.

The emblems are exact to the ones on the car when new, Bill had tons of pictures. The wing is aluminum and is rivited together. We took the wing apart and polished it. I don't think a day went by after the car was done we didn't polish the wing. It looked cool as can be in person. I on the other hand have never seen a brushed looking DH emblem. As far as I can tell only the late 69 cars had them. The early cars used a trophy style plate rivited to the body...BKH

Those AWESOME pictures Jeff posted are from Bill Ogle's DH Camaro, which was talked about earlier in the thread...and they were taken while the car was at SCR5...
