Supply and Demand. When there are no more people out there that will pay 10K for a plain jane Camaro coupe then the price will come back down. As long as there are people willing to pay that and more then the prices will keep rising. It is like they say in the Art world. Don't buy it because you think you are going to make money on it. Buy it because you enjoy it. Then even if you don't make money on it you will still have the pleasure of owning, driving, racing, and etc.

As the population grows, your going to get more people interested in "antiques". Not only that but these baby boomers are making their mark in the world now and have money to buy their dream cars. Simply put, there won't be enough to go around and those that have will get. How else are you going to explain the recent prices of 70-71 Cuda/Chalanger Hemi Ragtops?. Personally i don't see the market ever coming down. It might fluctuate, but i would say buy what you can now becouse it ain't changin!!

I agree. The current prices on collector cars in gereral are not going to come down. So many people are wondering when the "bubble" will burst. I don't believe it will. I was told 10 years ago to buy what you can afford because the prices will only go up and they have. Just my thoughts.

What is exceptable prices for Copo's these days?. Are Yenkos/Bergers etc really worth that much more, and why?. What about these special edition cars (ZL1, Cross rams, etc.) Sure, depending on milage, condition ,rarity. What's your opinions on todays price range of these cars, and where do you see the prices in say a year from now? Some of these E-bay cars seem overpriced, but somebody is paying.

Well on the Yenko camaros. One came on the market yesterday morning at 9:00 for $165,000 and was sold posted as sold by 7 pm. I don't know what the selling price was but I'll bet that it was not much less than the asking.
ZL1's $300,000 plus for a restored car.
COPO Chevelle sold recently for around $75,000 I believe. CE block with warranty papers. Needed full resto but was solid.
A couple of other COPO's on the market right now.
Berger double COPO in Fla. for sale don't know the asking.
A Black over black and white houndstooth Double COPO for sale in Arkansaw for $175,000.
A Hugger Orange with black roof COPO for sale in Canada for $105,000 if it is still available.

I suppose you could say the car is only worth as much as the market will pay. For arguments sake, lets say 69 yenko Camaros with a good resto $150-$175, $10k more for 4spd, Yenko Chevelles $10k less. Copo's, About 10k less, with the Copo Chevelles being about $10k behind them. Yenko Novas going from $350-$400 if you can find one. Bergers, Nickeys, etc, about the same $ as the copo's. Do'es that sound right?, add more if you like

MY point was that I would rather have the real COPO than the Yenko ZL1 clone, after all that is really what is was even with a rare Yenko block.

I agree, but i thought it might be fun to see what others thought about where the prices on these supercars are going.
