Thanks! I seem to drive it less and less every year. I'm happy when I can run through a tank of last year's gas.

But I have two others that I drive.

My yellow '85 with about 43K miles.

And my white '89 'vert, 5 speed with 7K miles.

It's an addiction - but those of you considering jumping in should be doing so NOW before all of the low mile or stupid rare stuff gets scooped up.

Since Charlie is sharing....

My 1990 Trans Am 1LE is 1 of only 4 1LE's built by Pontiac in the 1990 model year and was sold through the internal ordering system to John Bennett at GM Chassis Division. John raced it in showroom stock for it's first year then built it for A-Sedan and sold it to Jim Crist of the Toy Store in Florida. Jim campaigned it for several years winning polls, races and setting track records with it at tracks like Daytona, Homestead Miami, Road Atlanta & Sebring. It's currently in it's as raced presentation and is for sale - did I mention it has a factory aluminum hood?

My red 1991 Formula is also a 1LE and was ordered three times before being accepted into production by it's original owner. Once accepted he added every single option he could including T-Tops! It is one of 46 1LE Formulas built in the 1991 model year and is one of only 8 built with t-tops. I am the third owner of this car, the 2nd owner started the restoration on it & I completed it - it is also for sale.

My white 1991 Z28 is a 1LE car as well & was ordered new by a female Delco executive in Rochester NY. She decided she wanted something more than a straight race car and added power locks, rear defroster, the cassette stereo and a Leather interior in grey. It's a great car to drive and I enjoy it often. The only other leather equipped 1LE car that I've seen is in Ken Lingenfelter's collection and is red on red - I believe 16 total were built, based on the compnine database.

Lastly, my 1987 Black IROC that I ordered new, sold when it was 2 years old and found again through the help of this board in Janesville WI. I've spent the last two years collecting parts for it and it will be getting a full restoration this year - back to it's original presentation. It's getting treated to an N10 dual cat exhaust, 1LE brakes all around, a JG1 aluminum drive shaft and other assorted parts to improve it's ride & performance. It will never be for sale.

All of them are 305/5spd/G92 cars, my 87 IROC being radio delete as well.

The fastest bone stock 3rd gen I've ever been in was my friend's '92 B4C, 1LE, RS. It was a 5.7 auto. Just a blisteringly fast car for it's day - or even for today!

He took it to the track for the first time, both for him and the car. A bunch of 4th gen guys were looking at his "RS" as he was about to stage and started laughing, expecting a 17 second 1/4 mile. Ha! First run ever, 13.6 seconds. The 4th gen guys stopped laughing.

Last I heard, that car is in Canada.

Here's a Motorweek review from back in the day. The black IROC-Z is equipped nearly exactly like mine. This is the fastest 1/4 mile time I've seen from all the tests of the time.
