This picture was taken last week during my viist to Lima, Peru. My buddy Domingo owns a resto shop there and this is his Barracuda he has been building to race. Too bad it wasnt ready yet for me to test drive. Maybe next time!

This picture is from Easter weekend in Thruxton, England. The American Muscle was ever present. This car did particularly well winning its class. Impressive to say the least.

As fate would have it, nope .

Just after I got the `cage certified and harnesses installed, I was planning on taking it to Kil-Kare. I went to the local cruise-in the day before T&T (when it was at the Steak & Shake, before it moved to Company 7).

As I was coming home, the engine lost a roller lifter. I pulled it down, fixed the damage from that, buttoned it all back up, got it running again and in less than 30 minutes of run time it snapped the head off a valve.

I threw in the towel on the 572 at that point and built a mild 9-1 496 for it so I could sell the car. That 496 wound up running 6.50's @ 111 (in the 1/8 mile of course) with the car's new owner. That roughly translates out to 10-teens @ 130+. (FWIW, there was still no comparison between the 572 and the 496--the 572 would've mauled the 496)

He subsequently added a Vortech supercharger to the 496 and changed the cam. It ran 5.50's @ 135+ in the 1/8 afterwards. That roughly translates out to 8.60's @ ~160-ish.
