It was actually Paul Revere & The Raiders who were responsible for the "SS 396" track. The Cyrkle performed the "Camaro" tune.

For you Pontiac guys, Paul Revere & The Raiders also did a promotional song called "Judge GTO Breakaway." Some pretty cool lyrics in there, the chorus goes "Pontiac Ram Air 400 cubes for action...wide track...mag type...polyglas shoes for traction...THE JUDGE WILL RULE!" You can download it at Apple's iTunes.com Pretty cool tune and worth every penny of the $.99 IMO, and I'm not even a Poncho buff.
