1974 Z-28 still had a strong 350 with all the good internals, forged crank, rods, pistons, 4 bolt mains. The cam, intake and carb were the killers but it was a strong runner for that smog engine time. I bought a new 78 Z-28 4 Speed back in the day with 3.73 gears posi trac, but the smog engine was nothing special. Wished i would of bought the 3, 69 Z-28 Camaros i looked at back in the 70s. Very nice Z-28 for sure here.

It appears to still have the original 1974 only grille which is virtually impossible to find.

My meager take on these camaros, having never owned a camaro......back when I was gluing Monogram and AMT models together in the 70's, they had 0 inventory at the local 88cent store that I hadn't had my mitts on, so I reluctantly bought a '74 camaro red/white/blue edition or something like that. I set it up the way I normally would, with a bit of rake and rear tires that would scrape in real life. It was a ho hum build lol....but it slowly grew on me for reasons I never knew until years later. The '74 for me, represents the last of an era, small rear window, and still had some guts. Add all that and realize in today's market they just don't exist, well that just makes me want it even more.
