You are showing the exhaust ports. Not the intake ports.

That was the truth....it really did make 430hp......at 5200rpm's but it made well over 500 at 7000 rpm's.

It's back.............. ebay

FWIW when I was negotiating with him on this car I got him down to $11k, which was still over my limit on that car. So, I'm betting his reserve is somewhere around $12k. PM me if you are interested in more detailed pictures of the car. Crawled all over it (and under it) and have an entire library of just how rusted out the underside is.......

And......back again. Re-List

His response to my $10k offer (In July, before his Ebay auction(s)): "my car is one of the rarest versions being an SS L-72 4 spd., I believe it is the very first L-72 ever built because there is no knowledge to date that anyone has of an L-72 being of any full size Chevrolet body version much less a SS Impala 4 spd that was assembled at any of the full size body production plants around the country that preceeds the date of assembly and production number of my car, so as it stands today and I feel will remain - my car is # 1 of 546 L-72 full size Chevrolet sedans ever built and built as an SS 4 spd. !!! It will easly be one of the most talked about barn finds ever driven thru Mecum"

If he persists in his delusional thoughts about allegedly being the first 69 L72 full size car built (who cares????), and corresponding perceived value, that car won't be driven anywhere anytime soon. Too bad, it would be nice to see the car restored by someone
