That's my old car !! Is that a vintage photo of 'Chantilly Lace' from back in the day? When I bought the car, Joe, the original owner, told me he had a Day two Pic that he was going to try and find of the car... but, I never ended up getting it.

Would love to see a close up of that pic on the windshield... anyone?
Also any under hood pics???

Nice to see the current owner displaying her in Day Two form !!!

Thankss... I must have had a brain freeze for a minute...

Joe told me he had a pic at the track launching the car with the wheels a foot in the air. Thought maybe it was that pic. He had some real cool stories from back in the day.

One story about him being good friends with Bob Glidden?? or Don Nicholson?? I believe before he was so famous.(can't rememebr exactly, but a well known drag racer from back then)...how he loaned him his last 50 bucks to buy food for his family and he came back with a set of new headers and a bag of pretzels for dinner !!

Joe was a mechanic at the Chevy dealer where he bought the car and he worked all week just to race on the weekend ...along with many other guys back then !! The good old days !!
Thanks again for the link !!

Thanks for posting the pic of the "Rapid Roy" funny car. I wondered what happened to it. I grew up across the street where this car was parked . Occasionally they would fire it up early on a Sat morning, do a couple of burnouts and take a quick spin up the street, then trailer it to the races. Those were the days. Exciting for me, not so much for the neighbors.

Wasn't this car the same as this car?

Well I think the Barn Finds / As Found display went over quite well. I hope you all think so as well.

Lots of pictures in here of the cars.

I've seen that one on Geoff Hacker's Forgotten Fiberglass site.
It's the Henry-J Cougar custom and the whole story isn't in yet, see links below.
