Fired it up today running on the new ignition, does the interior look right? I know the Shifter boot is backwards, but I was lucky it fit at all in the Vega.

Seen those boots installed both ways, it looks fine.
I do have a nos, Hawk (Mario Andretti model), gauge trio. Dated in the 70's.
Send me a p.m. if you are interested in it.

a few more wires hanging down and an FM converter would be acceptable

maybe a pearlescent sticker from a local radio station

I love this thread. It brings back memories of the '72 Vega GT (Hugger Orange) that I built in '77. Same wheels and same stance. Mine had the complete engine and drive train from a '68 Z/28 that I had owned from '71 to '73. I was a poor college kid back then, everything was done on a budget. I did install orange shag carpet and used a short stick Hurst shifter intended for a mid sixties Corvette. I had to have a custom radiator built using 2 Vega side tanks that were dimpled to fit between the frame rails. I remember having to push the water pump hub back on the pump to get clearance for the fan. Then grind the front groove off of a couple of 2 groove pulleys and used a spacer on balancer to get everything to line up. Keep up the good work! Dave

Can you post some shots of the oil filter lines around the header area?
