The date on film pictures was the development date. That had to have been taken during winter '67. Snow amounts like that in August in Southern Ohio would be extremely rare, if ever. Might be something for Pete to look up, record snow fall for that month/yr...

Here is a shot from Peninsula Cars and Coffee in Seaside CA today, a short vid on the way home, and a clip of the idle.

I met some really cool people and the car was well received. At one point there was a group of guys around the car, 2 of whom served in Vietnam. I told them about the car/history etc and one of the guys said that while he was serving in Vietnam, all the manufactures, GM, FORD, MOPAR would send representatives for a convention IN VIETNAM. Soldiers could custom order their car and the car would be ready upon their return stateside.
This particular gentleman said he counted the days until he could return. Upon returning his father drove him to a dealership in Florida where he picked up his fastback 289 Mustang. I had no idea, these guys said they had friends who came home to some very cool cars they ordered. Unfortunately, not all made it back to take delivery.
I also met another guy there Joe who said he "stopped" racing in West Salem OH by the 50s (maybe 60s?), he is 81, the same age as Bruce but didn't look or talk a day over 71 so it was cool the car had the Ohio connection.
A few of the "younger" guys were taken back to their high school days in the late 70's. Some folks have no idea what the car is but they know it has a story.
One guy even asked me if I knew how special my car was because he did. I like that the car can start some really fun conversations and bring people from different generations together.

Another photo developed in August of 68 before the SS badges and headlight trim was reinstalled. I'm so grateful for these photos!

Default Dogfish bowtie

It appears to me the dog dish caps have the silver bow tie emblem. Lot of people say silver or black, Chevelle or Camaro ??? Heard it both ways.
Cool car man!

25 year old Bruce Cremean and his Tuxedo Black 1967 Camaro L78. This photo has a development date of August 1968. Bruce would turn 26 the following month.

I thought it would be fun to recreate the interior shot from the 70s. I just let the love monster hang from the snoopy air freshener for the photo. Should I install an 8 track player?

Looks like it had some 69' Firebird seats in it in that 70's pic.

Rear wheel and tire fitment update. Rear tires rub under hard cornering just a hair on the inner wheel well with the 15x10 4.5" BS wheels and M/T Indy Profile N50-15s. The N50 Protracs I had on my Cragars had less sidewall bulge so when I installed the steelies with M/T tires I noticed less clearance than expected. Both N50s I'm running at 20psi. Instead of swapping tires I've installed GM third gen Camaro wheel spacers which did the trick. They are steel spacers factory .150" +/- .020" thickness which is perfect for what I needed. The spacers are GM part 14091902. I bought mine used.

Tomorrow my 67 is entered into a local car show. I'm going to clean up the windows and hopefully people will be able to appreciate the car. This is my first show where I actually registered and paid a fee. I'm promised a goodie bag, a sign, and a shirt? Anyway we will see what happens
