Yes, an NOS bumper would not look right on there. This looks OK now that it's on there.

It does blend well with the rest of the "shabby chic" patina...

You can't get more "right" than installing the original part. The tow tabs complete the vibe. minus those, I might have left it off.

Completes the look perfectly. Every time I see shots on IG I'm in awe. Love this 67 and you've done a great job to bring it back to life.

I spoke too soon! This was sent to me by Bruce's son Todd. The bumper along with header panel and hood were likely replaced within the first year of ownership. Note original plate. This happened on his way home from Mt. Vernon where he won that day.I remember Bruce saying he was in an accident and he fixed it at a friends body shop. Todd says the guy who did the body work has passed.

Ouch.. A lot of damage besides the bumper and upper valance. Was he towing it with the wagon and all that is from the tow bar ?? Appears the core support is badly buckled in the center, pulling the headlights inward that much.

More photos of the bumper install. The bumper has definitely seen better days but I like how it looks. The accident explains why I found remnants of the white stripe on the fenders but not the upper header panel. Ths grill was also attached to the lower valence with hardware not rivets. I'm just glad the Camaro survived!

Here's a photo after some repairs. The date on the top of the photo says AUG 68. There's more photos coming.
