Blade Runner was not the only movie I saw here.

I was 12 years old (1963) and staying at my grand parents apartment in Brooklyn for the weekend. Normally all we would do is go shopping on Kings Highway which was only a couple of blocks away. But for some unknown reason, my grandfather wanted to see a movie and had received free tickets for It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World at RCMH.

This shocked me. I thought all he like to do was play cards and watch baseball on TV. He was a business man 100% through and through. I swear he wore a tie when he went to bed.

So off we went to RCMH. And to my total surprise, my grandfather is laughing hysterically throughout the movie. I had never seen him laugh. Not once. I spent most of the time staring at him instead of watching the movie.

tropical storm Hilary arrived in California 10 days ago as a rare tropical storm that dumped 2" of rain on coastal areas and 12" in the mountains. It's the first landfallen tropical storm in Southern California since 1939.

70 here. I saw that movie at 10 while living in North Carolina and it's STILL my most favorite movie. I'm with your dad on this, what a laugh that movie is.

Even though 1970 was the zenith year for Muscle Cars (horsepower wise), sales were dropping at an alarming rate due to high insurance premiums. Premium Gas was still selling for 36 cents/gallon but that would change.

So for all those cars that didn't have engine callouts like this Coronet R/T which has a 440+6 engine but no Ram Air so it shares the same no callout hood with the 440 Magnum. The same for the Super Bee 383/440+6. Were the "Bean Counters" taking over and trying to save any money they could?
