Great shots, love the front wheel lifting. Bill, it was good to see you at Bloomington last weekend.

That is one of the coolest cars I have ever seen. The fact you found the helmet is really neat.

------I tried to post something on here that grew a little long twice and both times it disappeared. I got so mad I quit for awhile.
------The Linda pic was taken in 1992 at SEMA and that is the same helmet. I also have a pic of Terry C in front of Red with Burt Reynolds. Burt had so much makeup on it sort of creeped us both out.
------Long Gone is Bobs SOHC H/M Mustang. There were 10 planned by Ford and then Bob and Larsen Ford got them to build an 11th. Bob ran it with both the original 427/425 engine they all came delivered with and the SOHC with great success. This Mustang also still exists in restored condition.
------Randy is right about the valve-springs, but I know Andy did a major freshening on the motor so probably no problems there now.
------Saw many sight members last weekend at B/G (a bunch of Texas types) and had a great time with all. Thought the survivor program was OK. It may have a chance..........Bill S

------The Supercar Showdown was Porterfeilds idea. It was a good one too but we never got enough cars together back then at one time to make it a big deal. I think today it would be waaaaaay different!!!!!

Bill

I always thought that was a great story on Red about the springs. I think you carried them around for years trying to give them to the owners! Too bad I missed you at Bloomington. I was supposed to bring our unrestored '74 H/O to the Benchmark Show on Sunday, but check in time was 6:30 AM- that wasn't going to happen. Looks like Red is in the right hands now. I loved that car. After sitting 10 feet away from it for a few months, I grew to know that car pretty well.

Needless to say I am having a blast with old Red, and see why Bill S. said it would be one of the cars he would love to have back.

On more then one occasion Porterfield and I discussed doing this sort of event again, but never really pursued it. Maybe it is time to how many other owners of old superstocker/prostocker cars would be interested in such as event.

What a car, I'm glad I got to finally see it and even happier I got to know two of the past owners, Terry C. and Bill S. What a great time we had at Tom's last Friday.
