Cool old ad. Has anyone ever seen the Nickey Road Race Camaro that they mention in that top page?

I don't have any info on the one mentioned. But have reliable info that Nickey prepped three Z28s which were delivered to the dealership for road racing as well as built 302s for other dealers and racers, to be used in the Trans Am series.

Nickey prepped and raced a 1957 SR7 Corvette, the famous '58 Corvette "Purple People Eater" , The "Nickey Nouse" 1963 Corvette ZO6 as well as a Cooper with a small block Chevy, similar to Shelby's King Cobras and the Nickey Can Am racer now owned and still raced by Tom Stephani.

Nickey as well as many other Super Car Dealers had a history road racing.

A fellow enthusiast has graciously shared some very cool info with me.

It is a letter, to Nickey Chevrolet acknowledging the 427 Camaro as a dealer installed conversion that would be put into the 67 rule book as being eligible for regular formula racing.

It is possible these Camaro's may have already been built and were available to Road Racers even before the request was made by Nickey to the AHRA.

It is his document, so he can share it if he wishes.

That intake was used by Nickey for the Stage III Conversions in late '67 and forward.

Hey Stefano...watch your mailbox next week for a "special delivery" of various old Nickey ads. I bet there are at least one or two you may have never seen before, including one of a very elusive road-race car!

Feel free to scan and put em up for all to see when you get them.

BTW; I had these with me at Chevy Vettefest, but somehow just never had a "spare moment" to give them to you. Heck...I was only able to snag one cup of that great coffee at the "Nickey Hospitality Suite".

Bob,
Sounds cool, can't wait to see them! Mecum should be a more relaxed setting for you. I'll see if Mike can bring the magic bus. He grinds his own blend of coffee, and I have to say that it really is awesome.
