Every thing we learn, just prompts 2+ questions! So, one step forward = 2 steps back sometimes

The deuce crowd is fortunate in that the owners are very willing to donate their info, paperwork, stories, contacts and pictures for the good of everyone. A to the owners!

Still truly amazing. If I haven't told you before Marlin, I was really captivated by your talk at SCR8...that is until the goof offs at the table behind us started fooling around (meaning Charley, Belair...the moderator dudes )

Great information at SCR8...thanks for sharing

There area couple of unusual issues with this car, one that I believe has been solved. The white stripe issue was one. In conversation with the last Ill. owner, he said he believed it had white stripes. Mr. Ed who was in charge of deuce sales at Fencl at the time also said white was correct. Frank has talked with the original owner who says they were black, and has pictures. Hopefully we'll get to see them someday to really know for sure.
The other issue is that it has a radio delete dash. Not a plate, the dash housing. The date on the back of this dash correlates with the build date of the car. All deuces had am radios as standard, so it's possible the dash was replaced at some time, but to be that close on the build date of the car makes me wonder if it wasn't a factory mistake. Not the first,;ie Jerry Albert's custom trim option deuce. Hopefully the original owner car help with that issue also.
Mr Cumby, I'd be happy to spend my wheelchair years with you, although I'm thinkin 302, or LT/1. Maybe they'll let us run em off at SCR25. Hopefully no females flash us at the big end. Probably give us both a heart attack, but what a way to go.

Is this the same Deuce that was parked behind the Furniture store on Ogden in Downers Grove?

Again guys, astounding information from both of you. Makes me wish I actually HAD bought the Deuce in '70 as opposed to the Chevelle. (Hey, I tried! )

But what's with this "Mr. Cumby" from you and Bruce? Is there something I don't know about; maybe rumors of an early demise?????

OK, let's consider these wheelchairs a little. If we place a 'back door' order for some 'specially equipped chairs', do you suppose we could actually compete as COPO vehicles at SCR25? (Damn, now Charley will probably start 'stockin' up.)
And re: the flashing at the finish line..... my eyes aren't that good NOW Schonye, so PLEASE tell me if you see something I miss!

This car is NOT the same one that was behind the antique store on Ogden. The car is the H/O 4 speed car that has been found and is being restored.

Geno's car is VERY cool and has a great history. I was able to find the original owner of the car, Dave F. He told me that he worked at the body shop of Fencl Tufo and actually bought this car there from Mr. Ed. I asked him about the stripes and he said that they were for sure black and that he has pics of the car at his mothers house. (suprisingly cause the guy is 61 years old!)

I am SUPER excited to see the copy of the bill from Fencl Tufo showing the engine rebilud parts! I never knew that was done. What is the date on the bill? If I remember correctly doesn't this car have it's original build sheet and some other paper? Shonye also had a cool story about how he found a business card from a local Chicago band tucked under the dash board of the car. I can never hear enough stories about these cars! Tell more!

One other interesting tidbit of info is that Fencl Tufo sold 6 Yenko Deuce Novas and we have either spoken to or know of 5 of the original owners. The 6th is that damn Citrus Green Draggin Deuce! I WILL find that car before it is all said and done!
