I called this guy two days ago to ask him about this car... I looked on Eds site and it said ralley green, but on this site it says fathom green/lemans blue. I asked the guy what the body tag said and it was coded 71/71 with 711 trim... I say it has the right VIN and right color to be a Yenko and one that has some messed up paperwork... Cool car, Mark

There was a Blue auto for years around here that was a green car with a trim tag swap. It was for sale a couple times at Hot August Nights. If it is the same car the two drain plugs on the top of the firewall are completely hidden by a slurry of silicone sealant that has been painted Lemans Blue. Ask the seller for a pic of that area or ask if the drain holes are there.

About a week before these cars hit ebay a representative of the seller called me to ask some general pricing questions for his cars-probably cause he saw my Brown COPO listed in Hemmings. He didn't really know much statistical stuff-like if they had curve neck radiators or BE rears but seemed to be a nice, honest guy. Said he'd give me 1st shot at the Yenko if it was put up for sale.
After the cars were listed I called him back & he was inundated with questions & told me he had phone offers on the Yenko from $165- just under 200K for it. I was also told that the only doc was the title. I asked about the true color & whether it had the orig drivetrain but, I don't think he ever took time to check. My bet is that they got tired of answering questions & took the best offers.

thats most of the info on the Yenko, he had no paper other than the title but was positive it was real and every component was correct as well but never checked anything himself , was told he wanted 190K and had three solid offers at 185K...I asked you have three at 185 and you cant come together on the car???, he said nope he wanted 190 and if it went through last weekend it was proabably going over 200.

you were welcome to view the car no problem and varify it all you wanted but he wasnt going to as he knew it was real and correct,he was very nice and yes he was getting a little tired of the calls, I suspect it sold as from the general talk we had it sounded like a couple familiar people were trying to put together a deal on the car . he difinatley had/has some cool stuff!.

Bud.
