This player was missing the pad. They are extremely difficult to locate.I was in the process of reproducing the pads.Shown is a skeleton to which the foam and vinal cover were to be vacuum formed over and later bound like the OEM to the player.I've since located the missing pads and lost the interest/drive in reproducing a cover.

Thnx Steve that helps alot..I have seen that player on e bay loose called out as a under dash unit..what does the console lid look like looking straight down with the player off of it??? I know last thing you want to do is take another pic...for some reason I thought it was taller..isnt there a arm rest thing that lands ontop of the player?? I thought I saw a pic somehwere and it barely had the player in the pic but I thought I caught a glimpse of a arm rest pad???

Thnx again brews on me, Bud.

The pics I took are of the console mounted unit,it's just missing the arm rest pad.The under dash unit is similar. That unit used a different mounting bracket than the console unit. The pics I took have the unit mounted to a broken console unit.If you look carefully the console is from the front edge of the storage compartment to the rear ash tray. The pad adds approx 1/2" to 3/4" on the top and side surfaces and about 1" on the rear which tapers off at the bottom. The steel form in my last pic shows the correct shape/outline of the pad.....I have some detailed pics of the pad in my 68 somewhere...I think Paceme's 69 in the rides section has a decent shot of the pad.
