Cool Car,
What is the history? Which dealer sold it and was it raced professionally? I see the axle tubes are welded, which is a clue of prior drag stip use.

I was told that it was purchased at REEDMAN Chevrolet in Langhorne Pa. By Geo Coley. John spoke to him back when he first got the car. THe original owner said he was driving down the road in his 1968 396 SS Chevelle and looked at the Dealership and noticed this Camaro sitting out front with "427" painted across the windshield. Not believing his eyes, He pulled a U-Turn and drove into the Dealership. 2 hours later, the Chevelle was on the Used Car Lot and he Drove out in the COPO Camaro. Performance Modifications to the car include the Following: Traction Bars, Driveshaft safety loop, Hooker Super Comp Headers, Electric Fuel Pump hence the toggle switch on the Dash, MSD box. I am attempting to contact Mr. Coley and would like to interview him myself. Not that I doubt John at all, just that at this point in time it would be awesome to hear the stories first hand! My 69 Mach1 was a 1 owner car and I had a 1 owner 67 GT350. watching these guys light up as they retell their past to someone that actually wants to hear the stories is very rewarding. John had the Car repainted the original color and got involved with the International Camaro Club around 1987 where he attended many shows. in 1989 he received a Bronze Spinner Award at Chevy Vettefest (The award Certificate is in the Photos) for the car. In the early 90's He Built a Killer 1926 Model T Street Rod with a Blown 350 Air Conditioning, Cruise control, the car is way Cool. He loves The Street Rod scene and that is his passion now. after almost 20 years of owning the COPO, and many people asking if he "Still Had it", I was fortunate to be the guy who was there when he was ready to let it move on. These Cars are still out there. persistence pays off sometimes. Just Last year, an Original 1967 427 SHELBY COBRA was discovered almost by accident. a Replica owner was friends with a guy who when he saw the Replica COBRA, made mention that his older neighbor had the same kind of car in his Garage. It turns out that he is the original Owner of the Car and it has not been driven since 1970! Total time capsule car. It is Not for sale and the owner did finally register his Car with the Shelby Club that he did not know even existed! Of Course it created much excitement in the COBRA and SHELBY community as it was almost a Daydream come true. I am turning 42 this month. I grew up in and around Car dealerships in the 60's and 70's where my Father ran Body Shops and Service departments. That is where my Passion grew from, but when I see these Cars It brings me back to a Magical time in my life and as long as that feeling comes, I am going to keep tinkering with Cars!! I appreciate all the Help and advice and answers to Dumb questions I have asked. Of all the Forums I have been on and around, You guys have a Great thing going. It does not come fast or easy. everyone registered is what makes these things work. we are working on a Shelby Forum started by Carroll Shelby's Grandson, www.shelbyforums.com stop by and check it out. being New on a Discussion Board is never easy, espescially when you come along with a Car that has not been shown in Public for ten years. "Paceone" got in touch with me and we are all good. Ironically he was visiting his Mother not 2 miles from my House yesterday!!!! He is welcome to come by next time he comes down. as I learn more about the Car, I will post. I have taken it to My friends Detail shop to give it a good cleaning top to bottom and then I will take some Real Nice Photos. Hopefully the snow will be melted as it gives no Contrast to a White Car!! Have a Great Week!!

I am really just getting it cleaned as you can see it has Garage dust and spider webs from sitting. whoever Buys it can decide to leave it as is, or remove the performance stuff and go all original. If I kept it, I would not change a thing!

12bolt, you have refrenced selling the car about a dozen times now. Are here to learn more about and enjoy your car or to sell it? If so post it in the for sale section.

I had a friend email me about your response to him that this car was for sale even before you bought it, so is it still available?
