Well, by the time I was done at the grocery store, and the grain elevator the trunk was full. Not to worry, the two bales of hay I picked up from a local farmer fit perfectly in the back seat. The real trouble came when I stopped at an antique store and discovered the rocking chair I simply had to have wouldn't fit in the passenger seat. However, a farm girl is never without baling wire and in a few minutes that ole rocked was anchored solidly on the roof.
After such a good trip, I think I am going to drive her to a hog roast tonight. You know, one of those deals where everyone drives out to the middle of a big field......

WOW. I knew that car looked familiar. Was that you? I thought Jethro had traded the old truck for a Camaro and lost Granny at the last stoplight!
So when did you weld the trailer hitch to the bumper? I knew we had talked about a fifth wheel ball on the roof but I guess your welding classes must have required some "homework" huh? Don't worry Jeff....she did a great job (barely noticable) and only plans to pull the horse trailer, not the car hauler.

Annie, did you put the Mud Tires on before you headed to the hog roast like I asked you?

Ann,
Based on our conversation the other night, I can vouch for you never taking the Camaro out but don't you think you should come clean with Jeff regarding the dogs? I know it was cold out but 3 dogs in the back seat of that car versus out in the yard is a little much don't you think. Now tell him how the scratches REALLY got there.

Scratches? I wouldn't worry about them. A little polishing and they will surely come out.

It's the smell in the interior.

Jeff, do you own a pooper scooper?

Also, do you own any stock in Lysol & Mr. Clean?

I had to turn away when that big dog was in the seat and lifted his leg over the steering wheel.......

Rest easy Jeff....
Your '69 baby is having a fun week! Since the two Sat trips went so well,I have been driving her to work this week. As you are aware,I am only one of 3 women in an office of 24. You should be proud of your car!!!!! She is a big hit with the guys (I am sorry to say the other two women just don't "get" cars)anyway....the guys have been using thier lunch hours trying to figure out how to properly do a burn out. I have had to go out there every day this week and demonstrate but I think they are finally catching on. Tomorrow we are having a week's end contest....the shortest burn out has to put gas in the car and buy me lunch. Since 83 oc is only about 1.60/gal I figure they should have enough left over for a fairly nice meal.

Sleep well Kid, the tires will be bald but the body ain't look'n too bad..that rubbing compound stuff is awsome... Heck,it even takes the paint off! Not to worry,I have a can of touch-up paint around here somewhere.

Drive Safe,
A

Jeff,

I know you've been taking a lot of grief over the car lately but I wanted to let you know she's alive and well. Ann has driven it a bit but it hasn't suffered any ill to speak of; nothing a little TLC won't take care of. So to put your mind at ease I snapped this picture earlier tonight. Hopefully after seeing this you'll be able to sleep a little better. Don't be concerned about it sitting on a trailer. Ann ran a little short of fuel on the way home but a quick call to one of the neighborhood farmers and it was on their trailer lickety-split and headed
back to the barn. The horses seem to like the traction compound and have licked almost all of it off the rear quarters. Rest assured it's in good hands so there's no rush to move the car. If necessary we can even flat tow it to Collinsville behind Ann's enclosed trailer. (Is it OK to weld some tow bar brackets to the front bumper?)

WOW Dennis, that picture is proof that it's looking much better from when I saw it last.
