Charley;
What's the reason for having the rear panhard bar, and a rear sway bar? Doesn't the panhard bar act like a sway bar, or is it to tie the 4link together?

Marlin, I would guess, since it has coil overs the panhard bar is needed to locate the rear end side to side. Leaf spring does not need panhard bar because the spring locates the rear.

Charlie, that is one nice car. The are two of that style of Camaro being built here locally. One with a mouse motor and the other with a new 502 Ram Jet. I think only one of the cars is getting the 4-link rear suspension but both will have Currie 9" rears. Have fun with your "mule" ...............RatPack......................

Charlie,
is this the Car Craft or Hot Rod cover car (with red background) that was featured MANY years ago? They did a write up on the building of the car and if memory serves me correctly, it was a young guy and was one of his first attempts at building a car. Anyway, nice addition to the stable. Different car. This car is just finished. It's buildup has been covered every Month over about the past 18 Months in Popular Hotrodding. Built by Mark Stielow, a GM Engineer. It should be on the cover in Jan or Feb. You might be thinking of the 67 that he built called the Red Witch that was Hot Rod Magazines "Car of the Year" in 1996.

Thanks for clarifing Charlie. I know of the '67 and that is not the one I was thinking of. I will have to go through my library to find it. It was a Silver '69 set up similar to yours and had a small block fuel injected motor. Doesn't matter as I am envious in either case.

Yes we are gonna try to do Power Tour next year with it. The Tour starts in Nashville and Ends in Dallas. If any of you have the time and a Car, Power Tour is a absolute blast.
