back in 78 or 79 I was at one of the chevy dealerships here in tulsa and there was a bright metallic green with red interior Z28 sitting on the lot. I mentioned how horrible a color combo it was to the salesman and he said a guy was mad at the dealership over something and managed to get a salesman to accept a 50.00 deposit and order the car and of course never picked it up. he said they would take a pretty good loss on it just to get rid of it. never saw it again but always wandered where it went.

Green with red gut? Did the car have the base T/A wheels on it or assuming it was a 79 perhaps the optional wheels?

it was a Z28 had the turbine finned or whatever they are technically called.

I had a buddy in the late 70's had a Malibu with that green interior,was a green base Malibu with a 402 big block,3 speed manual,floor shifter and a bench seat.It was pretty quick!
