The 300 series Chevelle does indeed still exist, and was discussed here at this site a couple years ago:

I friend of mine owns the Monaco orange LS6 car referenced in this thread (136370B179905) and he would like to print off copies of the ads illustrated. He has a link to this thread, but when he expands the adds to print, they become very unclear. Nasblu, would you be willing to share where you found the ads so I can pass the link on to the owner? The key would be to find all the non-LS6 cars with VIN and see if they are now LS6s. :-)
