1 70 date code is actually August 69. Made in first month of production for the 1970 model year.

I can't say if this is the original pickup, only it's the one that was with it when I got it. The locking ring was not present when I bought it.
That said, it fits perfectly and only one way - out the front. After I said it may not be registered correctly, I checked it and it was. Only fits one way. I'm used to the older style units and don't know when the switch was made to the internal float types. I'm lovin' the info here. |

Its not a 69 L48 sender as the L48 had 2 lines and that build sheet isn't 69 Camaro either. Its a 70 or later
