Agreed that one is well equipped. Nice, really like the Vtop on the DY cars.

There are more than just a couple authentic X11 code Yenko Camaros in existence. Several belong to members here on the site.

So according to Jerry M., the L-89 car seems very suspect...?? Is that correct about the holes in the rockers??

I'm no expert like some of the guys on here, but I have seen several unrestored documented 70 Chevelle SS's with the trim piece along the bottom of the rocker. I don't know if they came from the factory like that or were installed later on. Here is an unrestored LS6 with the rocker trim. I think Stefano had it at one time.

Why would a high performance dealer and Yenko dealer such as V.V. Cooke need to ship in a 396 Nova from Yenko? The 396 Nova sold at Yenko was converted and documented as a 427 car years later when it benefitted the owners at that time. Yes, uneducated statements presented as facts do affect the values of these cars.

There are documented 396/375 1968 COPO unconverted Yenko Camaros sold at dealers other than Yenko. The X11 tag statement is ridiculous. I guess the X66 Yenkos are all now suspect as well. And there are DOCUMENTED Yenkos that never had the bowties removed. And how in the world could anyone state that a CE block in a Yenko Nova is the one that it came with?..BKH

</div></div> This is Howard Cox's old Chevelle and Stefano brokered it. As far as the rocker moldings, this is a long standing argument. I have photos of 454 cars from back in the early 80's with rocker moldings and the owners swore they came that way. However, I have NEVER seen one ounce of documentation showing that they were done that way from the factory. That being said, the factory made mistakes ALL the time so it was certainly possible. I have seen that first hand numerous times. Never say never.

Have any of you guys that know JM asked him about the tags? I've spoken to him on the phone a few years back, but don't feel that I know him well enough to question him. Couldn't hurt to ask?
