Default Re: Al Maynard Auctions

Does anyone know how they plan on running the auction?? Is there a list?? Do they randomly walk around and auction stuff in any old order??? Three separate weeks makes it undoable for me. I would be interested in a few rare parts, but impractical.

Is anyone going to preview the stuff that could take a look at a few parts and answer a few questions?

Thanks, Max

Ok I see the listings for the second auction and is it just me but I'm guessing most of the good stuff has been picked through unless its being saved for the last auction?? Yes there were a few good pieces but not what I heard.

The last time that I was at Al's place, I took a bunch of pictures of his cars and quite a few of his parts and guns. I don't see a lot of the stuff that was there in the auction, so I would guess that someone has been through the parts.

I went thru 30 pages of auction listings and there wasnt one part I would bid on. Usually the way to sell large lots is to put a bunch of filler stuff in with some good stuff.

Same deal with a few auctions I've been to over the years. All, or much of the "good stuff" was cherry picked or was being held for a different sale at a later date. I'm hoping that some of the stuff Al had that he wouldn't sell me when he was alive still comes up in the final auction. He really did have it all.
