Does it have a 12 bolt? If so, what is the code? what is the redline on the tach? Distributor numbers? I would say this car would have a better shot than most at being at least a transplant done early on based on the suffix code. Most dealers would start with a L78 car since they could get the LS6 short block and transfer all the top end parts over from the L78.

Not sure if I missed anything here, but did you run the vin thru NCRS to find out where it was sold new?

If you are referring to the Mecum 00001 camaro, the car has been discussed and magazine-articled to death (Musclecar Review, ALL CHEVY, Super Chevy) on this site and other second gen. camaro sites over the last 10 years....David Tom (owner) chimes in here:
